Benoit Henault is a TS&D senior scientist with a current focus on aligning textile processing and finishing solutions with regulation and textile certifications. Amongst these, a particular focus is the development of silicone-based breakthrough Durable Water Repellent alternatives free of fluorocarbons. Benoit also oversees Dow’s work in upgrading its LSR product offerings, as well as business development for fashion coatings and technical textile coatings.
Benoit joined (legacy) Dow Corning in 1992 and joined the Dow team in 2017. Within that timeframe, he has held a range of positions aligned with the Home Care industry, including process chemist, product developer, project leader, product steward and Life Cycle Assessment studies specialist. In 2018, he joined the textile technical service team to redevelop Dow Silicones product offerings, innovation, and business.
Benoit holds an MSc degree in organic chemistry from Brussels University and an Engineering degree from Brussels Polytechnic School.
